If you’re looking to help transform global health, then the TCU Harris College of Nursing and Health Sciences is for you. Established in 1946, it’s been thorugh a wide variety of changes as TCU has grown since the school’s founding. In 2005, it was rebranded to the school it is today after many changes and programs were added throughout the years. Today, we’re going to highlight the things that make the Harris College of Nursing and Health Sciences so special.

Harris College Degree Programs

To start, the college offers so many unique programs for their students. It offers degree pathways in Communication Sciences & Disorders, Kinesiology, Nursing, Nurse Anesthesia, Social work, and Health Sciences. Each pathway offers many different undergraduate Bachelors so there is no shortage of options from this school. The graduate programs offered are also wide in variety, with the college offering a Ph.D. in Health Sciences.
The college also offers interprofessional education for their students studying Kinesiology, Nursing, Nurse Anesthesia, Social Work, and Speech-language Pathology. It allows students in either graduate or undergraduate programs to learn with, about, and from other students and faculty in their related field. Interprofessional Education even prepares students by facilitating a collaborative dynamic and teamwork for improved patient care quality.

Health Care professionals are one of the most important people, and the need for them only continues to grow. Jobs and positions in the medical field are continually opening, and this trend won’t stop either. All in all, it’s important that students use all the resources the College has available for them.
