A Look Inside Bane’s TCU Career

Finishing his senior year at TCU, Desmond Bane went out with a list of accomplishments.

The 6’6” guard has earned four post-season awards. Bane’s most recently received award is the NABC Second Team All-District 8. The award is voted on by members of the National Association of Basketball Coaches.

In terms of the NABC, this will be Bane’s first career NABC honor. In addition to this award, Bane was named in the All-Big 12 by the league coaches and Associated Press. He is named USBWA All-District VII.

A successful season for Bane, he became the only player to rank top 10 in Big 12 in three areas: points, rebounds, and assists. He took second place for scoring in the conference with a 16.6 points per game scoring average. For assists (3.9), he ranked seventh. Then lastly for rebounds (6.4), he ranked 10th in the conference.

With a 3-point accuracy of 44.2 percent, Bane is the league’s best 3-point shooter. Bane is ranked third all-time at TCU. 1,768 points which include 659 field goals, and eighth with 132 steals.

Bane has played in more games than any other TCU player with 141 games under his belt. Not only this, but he has also won more games than any other TCU player with 84 wins.
